1. Introduction
Chiram Trading Enterprise is a 100% black women owned South African company established in 2004 with the aim of taking part in a large scale of manufacturing, construction, retail of construction hardware and automotive spare parts. In 2019, the founder, Ms. Emelda Ramonye identified an opportunity within the petroleum sector and was granted a Wholesale License in May 2019 to be in compliance with the Petroleum Products Act, 1977 (Act 120 of 1977). Chiram Trading Enterprise provides bulk fuel requirements at the lowest cost compared to other suppliers within the shortest time frames.
Since its establishment in 2004, the company’s capacity has been enhanced to face challenges, not only competitive, but bringing to the fore, the economic disparities that influence the social fiber in South African market, based on people’s economic participation and fostering participation of women in the Petroleum Industry, Manufacturing, Construction and Wholesaling. Chiram Trading Enterprise pursues Government’s call for support of Black Economic Empowerment that aims to push back the frontiers of poverty.
